My client experienced and results-driven MRF Plant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Material Recovery Facility. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective plant operations while meeting production and quality goals. Oversee all daily operations of the MRF, including material throughput, equipment maintenance, staffing, and shift scheduling.
Ensure production goals are met with high efficiency, minimal downtime, and maximum material recovery.
Manage plant budgets, track operational costs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies.
Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives related to process efficiency, quality control, and safety.
Sales, Logistics, Maintenance) to optimize plant performance.
Maintain accurate operational records, production reports, and regulatory documentation.
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and inspections.
Proven experience (5+ years) in plant management or operations leadership, preferably in a recycling, waste management, or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of MRF operations, including sorting systems, balers, conveyors, and related equipment.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
Budget management and financial acumen.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational software platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
