Job Summary:
Mainframe Architect with expertise in z/OS System Administration, Production Control, Scheduling, Storage, Network, DB2, IMS, CICS, MQ, WAS, RACF, Performance & Capacity Management, and Automation.
Highly skilled in z/OS System Architecture with IODF/IOCP expertise.
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain IBM z/OS operating system and associated system software such as SMP/E, JES2, RACF, and SMF.
Strong understanding of Production Control and Scheduling with experience in IWS (TWS) & JOBTRAC tools.
Deep knowledge of IBM Z architecture, workload management (WLM), performance tuning, and system-level debugging.
Expertise in z/OS version upgrades and z/OS MF.
Experience with VTS and hardware upgrades.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Mainframe professionals, including system programmers and administrators.
Provide expert-level technical guidance on z/OS systems, Mainframe storage, networking, security, and automation.
Drive best practices in Mainframe System administration, software upgrades, capacity planning, and disaster recovery.
Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex system issues and outages.
Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of Mainframe System Automation tools such as IBM SA z/OS and CA OPS/MVS.
Expertise in Mainframe Network Administration.
Strong understanding of Storage, RACF, CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, and WAS technologies.
Experience in migration projects, including CA-OPS/MVS to IBM System Automation.
Proficiency in REXX, CLIST, and Netview PIPE programming.
bility to prepare and maintain documentation on system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
Knowledge of REXX programming skills.
Must-Have:
7+ years of experience in Mainframe DB2 Administration.
Extensive experience as a z/OS System Architect with IODF/IOCP expertise.
