Main Duties and Responsibilities: Claims Management Manages claims, brokers, underwriters, and third-party administrators to protect gategroup’s interests Monitors progress and reports status of claims. Ensures required materials are provided to underwriters and outside counsel to support business position. Oversees processes and authorized expenditures on claims, including seeking approvals from senior management as required by Company policy. Optimize the internal insurance and claims management tools for data gathering and reporting , ensuring data accuracy and quality. Communicates with various external functions, such as insurance brokers, insurance companies, third party claim adjusters and other external partners. Coordinates with internal resources to ensure alignment with company direction, policies, and procedures Policy Administration & Renewal Supports annual insurance policy renewals, including the coordination, collection and maintenance of all relevant company data. Reviews and provides input on insurance policy to ensure business risks are defined and coverage represents the best mitigation opportunities. Works with external parties including insurance underwriters, actuaries, brokers, third party administrators, and suppliers to achieve organizational goals including building justifiable cost forecast across all policy coverage areas. Collaborate as required with various internal functions, such as global insurance, finance, operations, operational compliance, and human resources. Reviews policy costs against company performance and market. Provides supporting evidence to negotiate best cost for coverage required. Assess opportunities and identify root cause of variances to improve business losses. Implements strategy for cost optimizations and continual improvement of risk management programs. Works with external audit team and internal accounting for bi-annual audit of insurance forecast cost and accruals. Manage intercompany recharges and develop accurate processes to track local invoicing and payment of insurance premiums. Support preparation and presentation of the annual insurance budget as part of the annual budgeting process Provide feedback on insurance clauses in contracts and other business matters. Risk Management Program Drives execution of both strategic and tactical initiatives. Assists in conducting risk assessment including the quantification of the key risks affecting the North American business operations and driving and promoting risk mitigation activities. Supports the planning, design, and implementation of an overall risk management process for the North American region including known and emerging risks. Designs, supports and implements risk mitigation initiatives to avoid financial impact. Qualifications Education: Bachelors’ Degree required; Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics Work Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management, claims management and/or commercial insurance brokerage Experience in manufacturing or other labor-intensive industry A proven track record of success and career progression in risk management Successful management of claims and policies Work experience in multicultural and international environments Technical Skills : (Certification, Licenses and Registration) Proven teamwork experience in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to drive multiple initiatives with various timelines and ensure implementation of corrective actions Strong interpersonal and influence skills, with the proven ability to effectively communication across and at various level of the organization Exposure to international insurance policy forms, contract analysis and review Experience in insurance/claim processing, claim administration, and vendor relations Conversant in relevant legal principles (e.g. damages, indemnification, jurisdiction, etc.) and experience interfacing with legal counsel on product liability litigation and claim settlement Highly analytical with proven analytical reporting capabilities Exposure to the global insurance and risk environment Experienced in supplier compliance requirements Able to work with different levels and functions within the organization, both strategic and operational Demonstrated team player with the proven ability to pro-actively collaborate with various functions across the organization Strong desire to succeed and lead successful teams, direct and project-based Proven flexibility and responsiveness with a strong sense of accountability Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines Excellent project management skills with the demonstrated ability able to understand the big picture and guide various workstreams Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Package applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) Self-starter requiring little supervision Excellent internal and external customer service skills Risk and Compliance Management Certification / Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to internal and external customers at various level of the organization Demonstrated strong presentation skills to all levels of employees Ensure strong collaboration and coordination with various functions on risk mitigation initiatives by understanding business processes and linkages across functional areas of responsibility. Monitors and reviews processes to ensure all areas meet compliance requirements. Conducts risk reporting across all areas ensuring appropriate material presentation for different audiences. Communicates the alignment of organizational accountability for risks to drive and promote risk mitigation strategies. Develops and deploys training materials based on reducing risk and cost across the business aspects.
