Contract (Full-Time) Job Summary: Client’s Global Foods R&D PMO team is seeking a dynamic
R&D Project Manager
to drive execution and visibility for key R&D initiatives in a fast-paced consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment. This role will support large-scale, complex programs across cross-functional teams and global sectors, with a strong emphasis on planning, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities: Lead PMO support from project initiation to execution, ensuring alignment on goals, scope, and deliverables. Collaborate with R&D functions, regulatory, sensory, and regional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope and budget. Define project plans, resource needs, and manage risks, scope changes, and dependencies. Establish project governance, cadence, and reporting; facilitate team meetings, track action items, and drive resolution. Engage with global stakeholders and support decision-making through effective communication and documentation. Utilize project management tools (Smartsheet, MS Project, etc.) to maintain timelines, report progress, and ensure quality. Support cross-functional teams in issue management, escalations, and proactive identification of project bottlenecks. Coach and align project teams on project management best practices. Apply technical understanding of R&D processes to anticipate potential impacts and highlight opportunities. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field. 5–7 years of project management experience in the Food & Beverage or broader CPG industry. R&D experience in product/process development or commercialization. Strong knowledge of MS Project, Smartsheet, Planner, or similar tools. Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple dependencies and stakeholders. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and proactively in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: PMP certification or working toward certification. Experience with Timeline Pro and PMI methodology. Experience in global/remote team coordination. Familiarity with innovation lifecycle and product development processes.
