$120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Contract to Hire Strategic Sourcing Category Manager in Los Angeles. Senior Strategic Sourcing Category Manager Opportunity Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Sourcing Category Manager to drive procurement objectives and develop strategic sourcing initiatives. Job Summary: We are looking for a seasoned procurement professional to lead the development and execution of category strategies for metal extrusions, hardware, and MRO. The ideal candidate will have experience in category management, procurement execution, and data analytics. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute cross-functional category strategies to drive excellence across cost, quality, delivery, and innovation Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support initiatives and drive business results Analyze spend and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements Develop and implement plans to meet or exceed critical KPIs Lead quality improvement programs and supplier development initiatives Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field 5+ years of purchasing experience, with 3+ years in a manufacturing environment Experience with category management, procurement execution, and data analytics CPIM/ISM/CIPS or equivalent certification preferred Ability to travel 25% to supplier locations Ideal Candidate:
Accomplished negotiator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proven record of collaborating across functions and driving business results Forward-thinking individual with a history of initiating and implementing transformative projects Strong communication and interpersonal skills This role is onsite in Los Angeles, this is a Contract to Hire opportunity! Expected salary range once converted is 120-140k DOE NO C2C Seniority level
