: Enabling Technologies Job Title/High Level Position Summary
: The Senior Design Engineer will leverage CAD software to create robust product, fixturing, and equipment designs, solving complex technical problems hands-on. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, leadership, and problem-solving skills to support medical device innovation across a diverse platform. Key Responsibilities
: Participate in the design team process and generate ideas for mechanical design. Develops detailed engineering drawings using 3-D Modeling to document designs and design changes (SolidWorks) Utilize a full knowledge of GD & T tolerancing. Confers with cross-functional team to identify requirements (Product Development, Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, Marketing, Purchasing and Regulatory Affairs) Create product concepts using parametric CAD software and other mechanisms. Prototype concepts to facilitate an engineering analysis . Minimum Basic Qualifications
: 2-year technical degree or higher in mechanical drafting or equivalent 5+ years of mechanical design experience 5+ years of experience using SolidWorks. Travel Requirements: No travel required Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience with CNC manufacturing as operator or programmer Previous experience in a regulated environment, Medical Device, Aeronautics, Automotive or other highly regulated industry Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to the manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to the office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and use hands to operate computer keyboard, and telephone. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. This position works in a typical
office/manufacturing/warehouse
environment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Perform job duties for 8 or more hours a day.
