JOB TITLE: Grinding OperatorDEPARTMENT: OperationsLOCATION: Moncure, NCTRAVEL: N/AGeneral Shale Brick, is seeking a Grinding Room Operator for our manufacturing facility in Moncure, NC. This position is hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.RESPONSIBILITIES: Follow safety standards and proceduresPerform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipmentOperate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure minimal unplanned stopsCommunicate and record abnormalities to the supervisorMonitor the equipment and record daily data of the condition of the equipmentMust be able to perform minor troubleshooting and preventive maintenanceEnsure quality of the material being grindedKeep material stock levels.EDUCATION: High school or equivalent requiredMSHA TrainingWORK EXPERIENCE: Forklift experience, loader and backhoe experience or the ability to learn to operate them safely1+ years experience in manufacturing preferredExperience with hammer mills is a plusExperience with belt conveyors is a plusSKILLS REQUIRED: Able to perform various form of physical labor (i.e. lifting 50 lbs/ standing)Ability to work well with others and be a team playerPerform light maintenance on equipmentAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsCommitted to working in a zero harm workplaceAble to work flexible hours when neededGeneral Shale offers a comprehensive benefits package, including, but not limited to: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Life Insurance and Vacation plans.An Equal Opportunity EmployerM/F/D/V Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
