Job Description:
The International Trade Specialist provides support to attorneys in the International Trade Group within the Regulatory Practice Area. This position will perform both billable and non-billable tasks. The International Trade Specialist works under general supervision and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Conduct research and write memos on International Trade issues (trade policy, trade controls, trade cases, trade agreements) for attorneys in the practice group Track legal trends in International Trade and report findings to the attorneys Compile and analyze numerous statistical sources Organize, index and maintain case matter files Draft documents, letters, and summaries for attorney review File documents with government agencies and courts Prepare public versions of confidential documents and exhibits Track media, press releases, announcements, and other documents regarding trade developments Job Specifications:
Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate with a background and interest in international trade One to two (1 - 2) years of work experience Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat) Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities Ability to work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours Ability to handle and maintain confidential information Successful candidates will be provided with outstanding career opportunities and will receive a competitive total rewards package with the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses.
Target Hiring Range $64,000 - $80,000
Please note that quoted salary ranges are not guarantees of what final salary offers may be. Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that MWE provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
