Job Overview: Stocks General Contractors LLC is looking to hire Skilled Laborers to support our growing Field Operations team. As a Skilled Laborer, you will perform a wide range of tasks to assist in the installation of underground utilities and sitework. This hands-on role requires physical strength, flexibility, and the ability to work in various conditions. You will be an essential part of our field crews, supporting pipelayers and equipment operators while ensuring job sites remain safe, clean, and efficient. We specialize in wet and dry underground utility installation across Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support pipelayers and utility crews with various manual tasks. Perform hand digging, carrying pipes, and assisting with utility installations. Unload and distribute materials such as piping, cement, and construction supplies. Prepare materials and tools, including mixing cement and prepping piping. Clean and prep job sites: dig trenches, remove debris, and maintain a safe environment. Operate hand and power tools, as well as small equipment such as skid steers and track loaders. Direct traffic around work zones and guide equipment operators using hand signals. Assist with alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials. Maintain site cleanliness and organize tools and materials at end of each workday. Perform other duties as assigned to support project needs. Qualifications:
Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions from skilled team members. Flexibility to adapt to changing assignments. Strong teamwork skills and ability to work with a diverse crew. Basic arithmetic for material counts and inventory tracking. Reliable transportation to and from project locations. Education and Experience:
2+ years of experience in general construction or utility construction preferred. High school diploma or GED (preferred). Licenses/Certifications: Confined Space certification (preferred). Excavation/Trenching certification (preferred). Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs, and push/pull loads of 50 lbs. Ability to stand and walk for up to 8-10 hours per day. Ability to climb stairs and work at heights while carrying materials (40-60 lbs). Ability to work in all weather conditions. Ability to work flexible hours as needed. Benefits:

Monday through Friday 8 to 10-hour shifts (Day or Night shifts as required) Occasional Saturdays or evening shifts as needed Work Location:
