Job Description
As a Maintenance/Custodian Person at Milan Institute, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of our school facilities. Your responsibilities will include. You will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facilities, contributing to all individuals' overall well-being and satisfaction. Responsibilities
- General Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as repairing plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC equipment.
- Building Repairs: Address and resolve minor structural issues, including doors, windows, walls, and roofs.
- Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the school's outdoor spaces, including lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal during the winter months.
- Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
- Cleaning and Sanitization: Assist in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, including cleaning classrooms, restrooms, and common areas as needed.
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures, ensuring they are well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins, following proper waste management procedures.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces to maintain a polished appearance.
- Maintain and replenish cleaning supplies, notifying the supervisor of any low stock or equipment issues.
- Assist in setting up meeting rooms and event spaces as needed.
- Ensure common areas, such as hallways and reception areas, are always clean and presentable.
- Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Follow cleaning schedules and checklists to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned and maintained.
