As a
Staff SerDes AMS Design Engineer
in the RFA Engineering Group, you’ll play a critical role in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will be deeply involved in various aspects of mixed-signal design, including working with data converters (ADC, DAC, TDC) and digitally controlled analog/RF circuits. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys taking ownership of projects and making a significant impact within a smaller, dynamic team.

This is a full-time position based in San Diego, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Product Design: Engage in schematic capture, IC layout, simulation, package/PCB analysis, and creation of design documentation. Design Verification: Conduct detailed performance and functional measurements, troubleshooting and debugging design issues. Product Characterization: Collaborate with Characterization and Test Engineers to define, perform, and analyze product performance characterization. Production ATE Development: Work with Test Engineers to define and develop Automated Test Equipment (ATE) solutions, and support ramping for production. Product Support: Partner with Applications, Product, Test, and Manufacturing Engineers to address customer inquiries, resolve field failures, and contribute to yield improvement efforts.
Job Requirements
MSEE or PhD desired and eight or more years of analog and mixed-signal design experience Deep knowledge of high-speed SerDes protocols such as PCIe, USB, SATA, etc. Strong fundamentals in mixed-signal IC design, especially with the latest CMOS FinFET processes Experience designing analog and mixed signal circuit blocks, including data converters, DLLs, PLLs, Phased Interpolators, CTLE, DFE, PAM, CDR Loops, etc. Familiarity with RF, analog, and digital integrated circuits, with an emphasis on mixed-signal circuits and systems Good understanding and experience with IC layout and verification Hands-on experience making precise analog and digital measurements using typical laboratory instruments and techniques Experience using various modeling tools (ADS, EMX, Verilog-A, etc.) Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex problems effectively Collaborative mindset with a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines and project needs Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to present and document findings effectively
Desirable Skills
Experience in Python or other languages for automation of data analysis, lab automation or simulation control Experience in designing, laying out, and debugging test fixtures or application solutions at the board level Knowledge of Cadence and Calibre EDA tools for design and verification
Compensation And Benefits
At InnoPhase, our compensation package includes base pay and pre-IPO stock options. The base pay range for this role is between $140K-$225K. Your base pay will depend on the market, interview results, skills, qualifications, experience, education, and location.
