An environmental consulting firm in Texas is seeking an experienced Natural Resources Director. In this role, you will lead a team of ecologists and environmental scientists to complete diverse projects in natural resources, permitting, Waters of the U.S. delineations, protected species surveys, and report documentation. The Natural Resources Director will develop and manage budgets and schedules and is responsible for mentoring staff.

Essential Functions:
- Provide technical expertise and project management for various environmental projects requiring regulatory approval.
- Lead natural resources projects and support projects in hazardous materials, stormwater management, and environmental restoration, including stream and wetland mitigation.
- Identify project-specific environmental design and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies to achieve project concurrence and successful permit authorizations.
- Conduct and lead fieldwork at a senior level.
- Mentor staff by training employees, establishing personal growth opportunities, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Proactively deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Develop accurate scopes of work and budget estimates for proposals.
- Provide excellent client service with a focus on quality and timeliness.
- Collaborate with other design team members, including project managers, project engineers, design technicians, drafters, surveyors, contractors, inspectors, public agency officials, and clients.
- Author and review technical reports and prepare environmental permit applications.
- Facilitate meetings and lead presentations with clients and at public meetings.
- Lead marketing pursuits and cultivate new work.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Natural Resources, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in natural resources permitting and a progressive career in management.
- Current and relevant Texas project and regulatory experience.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail with a teamwork attitude.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Master's Degree in Natural Resources, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- ArcGIS experience.
- Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) or similar certification.
