About Caterpillar Electric Power Division:
Supporting data center infrastructure, hospitals, and emergency power during natural disasters, our Electric Power Division (EPD) develops essential power solutions. With over 95 years in the industry and a global team of 2000 across more than 20 countries, we lead the energy transition, providing solutions from electrifying mine sites to modernizing utility infrastructure.
Job Summary:
We seek a proven sales leader to head our North American Electric Power Business Development team. The role involves leading a team to deliver energy solutions that enhance reliability, economics, and sustainability through deploying Distributed Energy Resources (DER), including our Cat Active Management Platform (AMP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the sales team to meet targets using Caterpillar’s energy products and services, including power optimization, solar, energy storage, and more.
- Develop understanding of market segments and regions to strategize and implement growth plans.
- Manage and coach a diverse team of sales professionals.
- Leverage internal partnerships, industry organizations, and regulatory knowledge to craft customer solutions.
- Negotiate and manage customer contracts in collaboration with legal teams.
- Travel extensively across North America to better serve customers.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in the energy industry.
- Recognized industry expertise, with existing relationships preferred.
- Proven leadership in building high-performance sales teams.
- Experience in business development or account management with a record of sales growth.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and business acumen skills.
