Job Summary: The Nurse Educator provides education and resources to enhance patient care, supports staff educational needs, problem resolution, and critical thinking skills development. Collaborates with medical providers and staff in planning and delivering educational curricula, implements clinical skills activities, monitors data trends, and ensures compliance with quality standards. Educates staff on new equipment and supplies, coordinates in-service training, and promotes workplace safety and environmental practices. Maintains professional knowledge through affiliations and continuing education, and adheres to policies and safeguarding assets. Essential Responsibilities: Develops and evaluates educational programs for perioperative personnel. Ensures new hires complete department-specific orientation. Assesses educational needs of patients and staff. Acts as a clinical resource, using evidence-based standards. Supports quality and process improvement initiatives. Facilitates compliance with policies, procedures, and standards. Mentors team members and manages educational projects. Maintains educational records and facilitates student learning experiences. Engages in professional growth and organizational participation. Maintains confidentiality and advocates for patients. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Licenses and Certifications: Valid Florida RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS; CNOR / CAPA preferred. Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes: Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Leadership, motivation, and training abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Sound judgment in critical decision-making.
