Must Have's: OMS knowledge as a business process consultant or product manager
Job description: • Collaborate with stakeholders to define assessment goals and success criteria specific to the order management space. • Conduct a comprehensive review of the current OMS and related workflows, including order capture, processing, and fulfillment. • Identify system gaps, inefficiencies, and pain points impacting operational performance. • Evaluate compliance with industry standards and any regulatory requirements (e.g., for industries like wine, liquor, or tobacco). • Benchmark the organization's OMS practices against industry best practices to identify opportunities for improvement. • Deliver detailed analysis, including strengths, risks, and areas for enhancement. • Propose a roadmap with prioritized recommendations for OMS optimization, including potential system upgrades or process redesigns. • Facilitate discussions with cross-functional teams to align on objectives and next steps. • Present findings and recommendations through comprehensive reports and stakeholder presentations. Qualifications: • Strong experience with OMS platforms (e.g., Sterling, Kibo, Manhattan, SAP, or similar). • Proven track record in conducting system and process assessments in the order management domain. • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data to drive actionable insights. • Excellent communication and presentation skills to deliver findings to diverse audiences. • Familiarity with eCommerce systems and their integration with OMS is a plus. Preferred Skills: • Experience with global implementations and multi-channel order management strategies. • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies. • Certification in supply chain or order management (e.g., CSCP, SCOR-P).
