What you'll be doing The dispensing nurse will be responsible for the daily dispensing of medication as directed by the Medical Director, Medical Manager, or Division Director. The dispensing nurse will follow the essential functions and basic duties of the clinic and will participate in the weekly staffing for the care and function of the Opioid Treatment Program patient.
Some Essential Functions Include:
Assist in opening and closing of the dispensary clinic. Appropriately dispense methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone, naloxone, and/or other medications such as Antabuse to enrolled OTP clients as ordered by the OTP provider. Use medical judgment during the dispensing process to ensure patients are using medications properly and appropriately. Inform the Medical Director, Clinical Nurse Manager, OTP providers, Division Director, SUDPs, and Program Managers as needed about patient care or concerns. Perform prescription medication pill counts at the window and ensure appropriate documentation of pill count is obtained. What we need from you Required Qualifications:
Current, unencumbered Washington State Registered Nurse license. A bachelor's degree involving major studies in nursing from an accredited school of nursing. A combination of education and experience that provides the desired skills, knowledge, and abilities to perform the job may be considered. Preferred Qualifications:
