Adelphi is seeking a physician to provide care to patients at a correctional facility in Nottoway County, Virginia. The physician will provide general medical services including examinations and treatment to the inmate population. Job Quick Facts: Ref#: BD-353-10 Profession: Physician I Specialty: General Practitioner/Family/Internal/Urgent/Emergency/Correctional Location: Nottoway County, Virginia Facility Type: Correctional Facility Job Type: Contract Coverage Type: Clinical Schedule: Mon-Fri, 5x8-hour shifts or 4x10-hour shifts Start Date: ASAP Rate: $135 Requirements: Active VA License BC/BE DEA certificate Responsibilities: Examine, diagnose, treat, counsel and prescribe medications for patients as needed. Provide physical examinations and other general services. Record a summary in each patient's medical chart after each consultation. Make referrals to medical or clinical specialists when necessary. Responsible for providing accurate prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Responsible for the improvement in patient health and quality of life. Independently resolves daily medical issues. Ensure guidance is received on policy or exceptional situations. Other duties as assigned.
