Opportunity: Virtual Service Operations is searching for a highly skilled OpenShift Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will need strong experience with RedHat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Python, and Linux. The candidate must be a RedHat Certified OpenShift Administrator; certification must be current. The responsibilities include: Manage and maintain the on-premises RedHat OpenShift container platform, including Kubernetes Engine, nodes, cluster data management, and integrations. Oversee dependencies on computing platforms and work across various system environments, including Linux, RedHat OpenShift, and Windows. Continuously enhance cost management processes and stay updated on industry trends to drive operational efficiency. Basic Qualifications: 15 - 20 years of relevant experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field. May be possible to substitute experience for degree. Must be a RedHat Certified OpenShift Administrator; certification must be current Proficient in OpenShift administration, including cluster management, application deployment, and troubleshooting. Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts and principles. Solid experience with Linux operating systems, including command-line skills and system administration tasks. Experience with container technologies and container orchestration platforms. Knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, load balancing, and security. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues within the OpenShift environment. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation and system management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams. Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Requirements: Must be within driving distance of Washington, DC OR willing to relocate there. Must be willing to work onsite. Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. citizenship status. New hires assigned on this project will be required to undergo and pass drug and alcohol tests per our client's contract requirements.
