Job Summary: NextGen Software Solutions is seeking a visionary and experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the design and governance of enterprise-wide technology solutions for a major financial services client in Berkeley Heights, NJ. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of business acumen, technical expertise, and strategic thinking to align IT architecture with business goals. This is a critical onsite leadership role requiring collaboration across business and IT stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy, roadmap, and standards across business units. Define and enforce architecture governance processes, frameworks, and design patterns. Provide leadership in evaluating and selecting technology solutions, platforms, and vendors. Work with business and IT leaders to align architecture strategy with organizational goals. Guide solution architects and development teams during system design and implementation. Conduct architecture reviews and assess technology risks, opportunities, and alignment with enterprise standards. Establish reference architectures and reusable frameworks to accelerate delivery and innovation. Lead cloud transformation, modernization, integration, and data initiatives. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and assess their relevance to enterprise strategy. Required Skills & Experience: 12+ years of progressive experience in IT with at least 5+ years in architecture leadership roles. Strong background in application, data, infrastructure, and security architecture domains. Proven experience in designing cloud-native and hybrid architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Deep understanding of microservices, APIs, containers, event-driven architecture, and DevOps practices. Familiarity with banking/financial services environments and regulatory requirements . Proficiency with architecture modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Sparx EA, Visio) and frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman). Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications: TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture certification. Experience with enterprise integration platforms (MuleSoft, Apigee, Kafka). Background in data governance, master data management (MDM), or AI/ML integration. Experience driving enterprise digital transformation and legacy modernization. Seniority level
