The Events Manager will blend creativity, logistical precision, and a nuanced understanding of people to choreograph events as thoughtful and polished as our performances on stage. From the elegance of Ballet Ball to the charm of Nutcracker Tea, you’ll help design moments that not only raise funds but deepen connections and move people, both emotionally and literally. This role is equal parts event architect, volunteer champion, and mission ambassador. You'll work closely with passionate committee members, enthusiastic volunteers, and a collaborative internal team to ensure every event reflects the excellence and heart of Nashville Ballet. Event Planning & Execution Plan and flawlessly execute a variety of events that delight guests and drive engagement, including: Nashville’s Nutcracker Tea, a magical family-friendly tradition Donor stewardship experiences, from salons to studio rehearsals Manage every behind-the-scenes element, vendors, venues, décor, guest lists, and more, to ensure each event lands with the impact and finesse of a show-stopping finale. Curate thoughtful guest experiences that align with Nashville Ballet’s brand, values, and artistic spirit. Collaborate closely with the Development team to ensure that event strategies align with overall fundraising goals and donor engagement strategies. Project & Administrative Management Sustain momentum with detailed timelines, budgets, task lists, and run-of-show documents. Utilize Nashville Ballet’s CRM (Tessitura) to maintain accurate, up-to-date records of invitations, attendance, participation, engagement, donations, and follow-up communications. Manage vendor contracts, invoices, and in-kind contributions with an eye for detail. Work cross-departmentally to ensure alignment, transparency, and teamwork around each event. Prepare and share timely updates and reports with staff, leadership, and volunteer committees, including post-event analysis and recommendations to inform and enhance future events. Qualifications: 3–5 years of professional experience in volunteer engagement, event management, and fundraising. Exceptional organizational skills and a calm, solutions-focused demeanor when juggling priorities. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and collaborate with volunteers and community leaders. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for navigating diverse perspectives with diplomacy and professionalism. Proficiency in donor CRM systems (Tessitura a plus), Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, and event/project management tools. Deep appreciation for the performing arts and a passion for connecting others to a meaningful mission. Collaborative, mission-driven individual who values creativity and community. Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed for events and performances.
