Outstanding Opportunity for a BC/BE Craniofacial Orthodontist in Miami
Nicklaus Children's Hospital, a 307-bed freestanding children's hospital and ACS-verified Level 1 pediatric trauma center, along with Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists, the multi-specialty medical group practice of Nicklaus Children's Health System, offer an exceptional opportunity for a full-time Craniofacial Orthodontist. Applicants must be board certified and/or board eligible by the American Board of Orthodontics and have completed a 12-month university or hospital-based craniofacial orthodontics fellowship.
The Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital provides comprehensive dental services for children from infants up to age 21. The Craniofacial Orthodontist will work within this department and collaborate with our multidisciplinary Cleft and Craniofacial Team, which includes specialists in Plastic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Genetics, Audiology, Speech and Language Pathology, Psychology, and Social Work. Designated as the Craniofacial Center for South Florida by Children’s Medical Services since 1999, this team is the largest multidisciplinary craniofacial team in the region and aims to become a premier center for advanced care of children with congenital craniofacial anomalies regionally, nationally, and internationally.
With the addition of a Craniofacial Orthodontist, the program is expanding, featuring two new state-of-the-art facilities at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and in Doral, Florida, designed to meet the unique needs of craniofacial patients. The Orthodontist will have clinical opportunities across all pediatric populations, with a focus on craniofacial patients, and will also engage in teaching, research, and scholarly activities.

Responsibilities include:
- Leading orthodontic care and supervising clinical personnel involved in patient care.
- Supporting care provided by the craniofacial team.
- Ensuring high-quality orthodontic services.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).
- Postgraduate certification in Orthodontics or Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, or Board Eligibility.
