Huron Valley Schools is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and effective EI teacher. Looking for a highly collaborative and an effective communicator, both using verbal and written skills.
Position Type: Instructional/Special Education Programs
Location: Highland Elementary
Salary: Per HVEA contract
Reports To: Principal, Student Support Assistant Director
Status: 2024/25 School Year
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must hold a valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate Special Education endorsement Certification in non-violent crisis intervention training required, or will be provided ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To effectively provide instruction to students on an Individualized Education Plan To effectively communicate in writing and verbally with students, staff and families To progress monitor students growth to then report data and provide grades To be engaged while attending building and department meetings To be a learner of your content and other school related topics to benefit students.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's required.
LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICAL AND REASONING SKILLS: Ability to speak and write effectively. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral format and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
