Key responsibilities of the Hospital Pharmacy Director include managing daily operations of the pharmacy department, reviewing financial statements and performance data to assess productivity, and determining staffing requirements. You will oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations of department personnel while ensuring that the pharmacy operates efficiently within budgetary limits. In addition to leadership and administrative duties, the Hospital Pharmacy Director will contribute to clinical tasks such as dosing adjustments, IV to oral conversions, and providing advanced clinical education to staff, patients, and the broader healthcare team.
The ideal candidate will have a Pharmacist Licensure from the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy and at least five years of supervisory experience in pharmaceutical services, including policy development, quality improvement, and budgeting. An advanced degree (PharmD, MBA, or MS) is preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for working effectively with healthcare teams, patients, and staff members.
