Overview
Project Engineer , you will be responsible for scoping, engineering, designing, and installing projects at the Circleville facility. These projects include both new installations and modifications to existing processes. Your responsibilities include working with and supervising contractors, other supervisors, operations and maintenance personnel, vendors, purchasing, and EHS to ensure safety, quality, and productivity. Additionally, you will develop and implement operating and training programs related to projects and the skills of maintenance and operations personnel.
Location and Reporting You will work at the Circleville, OH plant and report to the Engineering Service Manager. PPG offers excellent benefits, including Medical, Dental, & Vision; a matching 401k and retirement savings; and paid vacation and holiday pay.
Responsibilities:
Conceptualize systems and communicate these plans effectively to diverse personnel.
Develop scope documents, obtain engineering and construction bids, write ACT requests, oversee construction, schedule and coordinate system outages, and assist in project start-up.
Develop project budgets and schedules to ensure timely completion within constraints.
Track project spending, communicate trends, and adjust as needed to stay within authorized budgets.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or equivalent.
5+ years of project/capital engineering experience, preferably in a chemical or resin manufacturing environment.
Strong human relations skills and some labor relations knowledge; excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Problem-solving skills with the ability to conceptualize new or modified systems.
