Full-Time, Onsite Overview Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Purchasing Manager / Procurement Manager to join their manufacturing company. In this role, you will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, optimizing inventory levels, and collaborating closely with the warehouse department to ensure efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the manufacturing sector and a strong understanding of procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities Vendor Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and evaluate vendor performance to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory levels, ensuring that materials are available when needed while minimizing excess stock. Implement inventory control measures to enhance operational efficiency. Collaboration:
Work closely with the warehouse team to coordinate the timely receipt and storage of materials. Ensure seamless communication between purchasing, production, and logistics. Data Analysis:
Analyze procurement data to identify trends, forecast needs, and make informed purchasing decisions. Cost Management:
Monitor and manage purchasing budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities. Qualifications Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment is required. Skills:
Strong negotiation and communication skills Proficient in inventory management and procurement software Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Work Environment:
