Essential Position Functions:
Demand Forecasting: Using statistical methods and forecasting tools, develop detailed supply chain forecasts for assigned product categories and regions. Data Analysis: Analyze historical sales data, market trends, seasonality patterns, and customer insights to inform supply chain planning. Performance Monitoring: Monitor supply chain performance and continuously conduct variance analysis to improve planning precision. Sales Collaboration: Collaborate with sales teams to incorporate sales projections, customer insights, and market intelligence into supply chain plans. Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with purchasing and inventory teams to ensure analytics effectively support procurement and inventory decisions. Stakeholder Management: Lead supply chain review meetings with cross-functional stakeholders to align planning assumptions and business impacts. Pattern Recognition: Identify and analyze supply chain patterns, trends, and anomalies to refine planning methodologies. Special Projects Planning: Develop specialized supply chain approaches for new products, promotions, and other non-standard events. System Maintenance: Maintain supply chain models and ensure data integrity within planning systems. Team Development: Train junior supply chain staff on analytical techniques and best practices. Performance Reporting: Prepare regular reporting on supply chain performance and key indicators for management review. Purchasing Alignment: Communicates planning to the purchasing team to ensure the buy is aligned with forecasts. Item Optimization: Works with category specialist to ensure optimal item setting, such as order multiples, MOQs & lead times. Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related field; advanced degree preferred 5+ years of experience in supply chain analytics, planning, or related fields Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical techniques and methods Experience with planning systems, ERP platforms, and business intelligence tools Knowledge of paper and packaging products and markets preferred Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with statistical analysis software Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to work effectively across functions Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities Certification in supply chain management a plus (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) Must have advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills. Must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based computer. Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner. Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communications skills. Must be able to work alone, and with a team. Must be able to read and communicate in English, for safe and effective performance of the job and business operations. Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Work Environment:
