Join to apply for the Manager, Laboratory Services FT Days role at AHMC HealthCare 1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicants JOB SUMMARY Under the direct supervision of the Director of Laboratory Services, supervises and assists in monitoring the efficiency of general clinical laboratory and pathology operations. Responsibilities include operational planning (oversees the day-to-day operations), staff orientation, in-service training, motivation, performance evaluation, organizing and delineating all duties related to clinical testing (including POC), quality management, workflow and processes, problem solving, equipment maintenance, inter-hospital relationships, TAT evaluation, proficiency testing review, and various projects. This position serves patients of all ages, both in and out of the hospital. Education, Experience, and Training Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; a master’s degree is a plus but not required. Valid and current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license issued by the California Department of Health Services. ASCP certification is preferred but not required. At least 6 years of experience as a lead/supervisor CLS is preferred. Excellent English communication skills for interaction with physicians, nurses, and patients. Good manual dexterity. Ability to work well under stress. Excellent organizational skills. Strong people skills. Proficiency with computer and LIS systems.
