The Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) Sales Consultant is responsible for implementing Boehringer Ingelheim's ILD sales and marketing plans to maximize distribution and market penetration of ILD products within BIPI guidelines, policies, and directives. The role involves engaging with key ILD clinics, pulmonologists, rheumatologists, radiologists, advanced practice clinicians, and healthcare professionals. The ILD Sales Consultant will also handle sales activities in hospitals, federal and military facilities, and managed healthcare settings. The position requires travel, including overnight stays and occasional weekend ILD meetings. As part of Boehringer Ingelheim, you will contribute to developing and delivering innovative healthcare solutions, with opportunities for international collaboration and professional growth. The base salary ranges from approximately $95,000 to $153,100, with potential bonuses and other compensation elements. Benefits details are available on our website. Key Responsibilities
Maintain and utilize ILD product knowledge and effective selling skills to influence healthcare professionals supporting BIPI products. Develop pre-call plans, build relationships, and facilitate scientific knowledge exchange with ILD healthcare providers. Identify business needs, develop territory strategies, and collaborate with internal teams to meet objectives. Analyze territory data, monitor market conditions, and adapt plans accordingly. Develop relationships with ILD thought leaders and advocates, managing programs and budgets within standards. Ensure compliance with all regulations and uphold high ethical standards. Complete administrative duties accurately and timely, including expense and call reports. Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge and customer-focused solutions during interactions. Minimum Requirements
ILD Sales Consultant I Bachelor’s Degree At least 3 years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience; pulmonary/specialty experience preferred. Strong communication skills and ability to translate scientific information for diverse audiences. Willingness to travel and attend weekend programs. ILD Sales Consultant II Bachelor’s Degree Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with at least 3 years in pulmonary/specialty sales. Strong communication skills and scientific translation ability. Travel required. Senior ILD Sales Consultant Bachelor’s Degree 7-10 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, 5-7 years in pulmonary/specialty sales. Proven team collaboration, influencing skills, and experience with account management and market development. Willingness to travel 10-50%, valid driver’s license required. Preferred Skills & Abilities
