Overview
This pharmacy technician opportunity is part of our pharmacy population health team, which includes several pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. This position will begin as a remote work opportunity but could transition to onsite in the future. This position is typical day shift hours, Monday through Friday with no weekend commitment.
The ideal candidate must be passionate about engaging with patients, be self-motivated, have excellent time management skills, and be highly flexible. The candidate must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide excellent service to all customers, including patients, families, pharmacists, and other health care professionals.
Qualifications include:
Must have an Indiana Board of Pharmacy Technician license
Essential activities will include:
Completing patient outreach which will include telephone calls and electronic communication.
Assessing potential reasons for medication non-adherence and determining a potential root cause for medication non-adherence.
Educating patients on strategies to improve medication adherence.
Coordinating with other key stakeholders to resolve causes of medication non-adherence when applicable.
Appropriate documentation of patient interactions within the patient’s Epic medical record.
