Overview The PRN Pharmacy Technician plays a crucial role in assisting pharmacists with various pharmacy operations, such as prescription preparation, customer service, and inventory management. Key Responsibilities Support the achievement of departmental goals and comply with all policies, procedures, quality, and safety standards. Organize prescription orders by priority and manage all necessary paperwork and labeling. Provide outstanding customer service both in-person and over the phone by handling refill requests, initiating new prescriptions, and resolving patient inquiries. Prepare prescriptions accurately by counting and verifying medications, labeling vials correctly, and managing waiting customers efficiently. Process various payment transactions, ensure compliance with regulations, and perform end-of-day procedures as instructed. Assist in the intake and data entry of new prescriptions, troubleshoot insurance issues, and follow up on prescription problems as necessary. Manage inventory by receiving orders, returning medications, and adhering to established inventory processes. Welcome customers promptly and ensure a seamless workflow in the pharmacy, prioritizing service to those in line. Engage in team meetings and community outreach to promote pharmacy services and quality improvement initiatives. Minimum Qualifications Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience:

Less than 6 months of pharmacy technician experience in a retail setting or equivalent training required. Licenses and Certifications:

Must obtain pharmacy technician certification through either PTCB or ExCPT within 180 days, and maintain licensure as required by state regulations. Skills Required Basic computer and math skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills. This position offers a competitive pay range of $19.17 - $33.08.
