Physical Medicine and Rehab Physician / Physiatrist North Bergen NJ Full time or Part time We are looking for a dynamic, motivated Physical Medicine and Rehab Physician (PM&R)/ Physiatrist to join our practice in Teaneck and North Bergen. The incoming physician will be examining patients and diagnosing pain due to an injury, disease, or a disabling condition. The physician will be splitting coverage between the offices in Teaneck and North Bergen, NJ. We will consider a general or interventional physiatrist, with the interventional physician functioning as a general physiatrist but also performing pain procedures. We are looking for someone who can treat the patient from start to finish, handling every aspect of patient care with recommendations, performing EMG/NCV studies, and treating patients from first visit/examination until the patients finish treatment. Duties:
Diagnosing pain due to an injury, disease, or a disabling condition Determining and implementing appropriate treatment plans for patients including Physical therapy Monitoring ongoing progress and health of patients, and changing treatment plans as necessary Providing adaptive tools to improve the overall health and physical functioning of patients Counseling patients and their families and helping them adapt to lifestyle changes Performing initial evaluations on each patient to determine patient’s need and ability to participate in the rehabilitation process Initiating prescriptions to be followed by the appropriate therapy units and modifying that prescription as indicated by the patient’s response to therapy and his/her medical condition Conducting EMGs/NCVs and periodic re-evaluations of each patient to determine progress and indication for change or discontinuance of treatment Prescribing appropriate prosthetic and orthotic devices as indicated and checking for proper fitting of such devices Keeps complete medical records of all services provided and the patients’ progress Interacting with community-based referral sources to facilitate patient care and patient referrals Performing or referring for interventional pain procedures (if trained and medically indicated) Requirements:
MD/DO licensed in NJ Board-Certified or Board-Eligible with American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR) or BCBE Physiatrist Basic EMG skills or enthusiasm to hone skills with on-the-job mentorship MSK Ultrasound and/or Interventional skills a plus but not required Schedule:
Full time or Part time Salary:
$250k-$400k per year (Depending on experience and training/ability to perform procedures) Benefits:
