Position Overview
UPMC Digestive Health Care is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. This role includes approximately 60% outpatient responsibilitiesincluding new patient appointments and follow-up visitsand 40% inpatient care. The APP will provide call coverage at UPMC Horizon-Shenango Valley, rounding on GI consults as part of the inpatient call schedule. This role will work closely with a collaborative team consisting of two physicians and three APPs.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient clinical activities as outlined.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
- Engage in continuous professional development and quality improvement efforts.
Qualifications
For CRNP:
- Completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
- BSN and MSN preferred.
- Current RN license and CRNP certification in Pennsylvania.
- National certification and eligibility for Pennsylvania licensure and certification as a CRNP.
- Current CPR certification.
- Clearances: Act 33, 34, 73.
For PA:
- Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program.
- BS or MS preferred.
- Current PA license and NCCPA certification.
- Current CPR certification.
- Clearances: Act 33, 34, 73.
Experience & Additional Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience or completion of a post-graduate residency.
- Professional contribution within one year of hire or promotion.
- Department chair approval for promotion.
- Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or other AHA standards within 30 days of hire.
