Job Description: As the Controller of the Pitney Bowes Bank, you will own all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for a sophisticated, high-growth industrial bank. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) , you will lead a team of 10 finance professionals in the development of the Bank’s key financials, including the call report, audited financials, reconciliations, and consolidated reporting, as well as partner with the Bank’s executive team on improving operational rigor and efficiency. In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in process improvement methodologies , to build a strong, high-performing team and instill a culture of accountability and rigor. You will be a key advisor to the CFO on the implementation of the Bank’s strategy around technology, processes, and financial implications. Overall, you’ll have the opportunity to make a significant impact , in a highly visible role, and contribute to the growth and success of our organization. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight for all accounting and reporting requirements at the Bank Lead and elevate the Controllership function . Recruit, train and develop accounting professionals, driving financial rigor and accountability Lead, manage and supervise all aspects of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and related financial reporting processes, including the call report, audited financials, ALCO and Board materials, and consolidated reporting requirements. Maintain strong relationships with our external auditors and regulators . Proactively leverage outside consultants and other constituents on accounting and reporting matters as required Spearhead controllership initiatives that drive better utilization of IT resources, expand efficiency, and enhance operational process rigor Manage Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements, including monitoring the execution of accounting policies, procedures, and controls. Ideal Candidate Profile Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other suitable degree with CPA. Big 4 Accounting experience a plus. Progressive experience (10+ years) in accounting and reporting with deep technical expertise in Bank reporting and commercial lending products. Proven track record in leadership roles. Strong coaching and mentoring skills with a focus on people development, driving performance and enforcing operational rigor Executive presence and strong presentation skills . Ability to collaborate effectively with senior management, internal business units and external advisors. Project management expertise with a history of leading transformative initiatives and driving operational improvements.
