Introduction to the Job
The Algorithms and Physical Modeling Principal Engineer is responsible for driving technology activities related to algorithms utilizing machine learning, stochastic, and physical modeling methods for electrical and physical defect inspection and metrology with e-beam systems. This role involves close collaboration with HW & SW engineering teams and application teams. Role and Responsibilities
Investigate algorithms using physical models and machine learning for defect inspection and metrology with e-beam systems. Research, develop, and integrate image quality metrics for SEM images obtained from Ebeam tools into defect inspection and metrology products. Develop accurate and robust metrology algorithms for EBeam tools and calibration algorithms for imaging systems. Deliver production-ready ML solutions in the semiconductor industry. Apply expertise in image processing, computer vision, deep learning, tracking, detection, and calibration. Understand physics principles relevant to the role, such as optics and electron optics. Understand customer problems, define technical directions, and conduct independent research to provide high-quality solutions within time and budget constraints. Own solutions from concept to deployment. Lead cross-functional projects with HW, SW, and application teams. Collaborate with customers to develop innovative solutions. Engage in software prototyping, analysis, design, optimization, and testing. Possess at least 5 years of experience in C/C++, Python, and software engineering practices. Education and Experience
Master's or PhD in Information Technology, Software, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field. Skills and Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including in IC manufacturing, semiconductor process technology, inspection, or metrology. Strong self-motivation, ability to perform independently, and thrive under pressure. Personal Skills
