Overview of Position: Temporary Freelance Production Artist/ Designer

UNIQLO Global Creative Lab New York is looking for a temporary Production Artist/ Designer to support on campaign asset finalization.Our creative studio is looking for a hands-on Production Artist to be a part of our in-house creative team. This role is critical to the success of our Studio as they will be responsible for building final versions of assets / mechanicals for our global campaigns. This role requires a subject matter expert well versed in print and digital file production, capable of producing final assets on-site collaborating with our art directors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Uniqlo’s brand standard signage templates to ensure consistency across assets.
- Ability to produce print ready, editable and final mechanical files in Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign.
- Accurately comprehend and adhere to material spec sheets, ensuring all files meet brand guidelines and technical specifications.
- Have an in-depth understanding of both RGB and CMYK color spaces
- Coordinate closely with the Art Directors and lead creatives to understand the requirements for each project
- Work in a high volume department, under tight deadlines and provide accurate time assessments
- Maintain consistency and quality across all deliverables, adhering to project timelines.
- Assist with asset organization and version control to ensure accuracy with strong attention to detail
- Highly organized with file management, naming, and versioning
- Collaborate with art directors on carrying out overall design direction and implementing feedback
- Efficient time management skills to turnaround quick changes
Qualifications:
- Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, working knowledge with Figma and other relevant design applications.
- 3-6 years of design experience; preferably at a creative agency, or production studio.
- Strong attention to detail, and the ability to identify and correct even minor design inconsistencies.
- Understanding of asset production processes, file formats, and color management
- Problem-solving abilities: Ability to troubleshoot design issues and find creative solutions
- Time management: Meeting deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Communication skills: Effectively collaborating with art directors, and other stakeholders
- Experience with high-volume, high-velocity, large-scale file management
- Experience and understanding of the workflow within a creative agency, production studio, or creative department within a company
Rate: $40 - $50 p/h*
