Our client is seeking an experienced and highly analytical Senior Accountant to join their growing finance team. This role plays a key part in supporting firmwide financial operations, ensuring compliance with U.S. and international reporting standards, and providing leadership with accurate, data-driven insights. Our client is seeking an experienced and highly analytical Senior Accountant to join their growing finance team. This role plays a key part in supporting firmwide financial operations, ensuring compliance with U.S. and international reporting standards, and providing leadership with accurate, data-driven insights. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in accounting, thrives in a fast-paced professional services environment, and is comfortable working across multiple currencies and jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly financial statements and ensure alignment with bank covenant requirements Reconcile general ledger accounts using detailed spreadsheet support Perform account reconciliations across cash and accrual accounting in both USD and international currencies Track and record capital asset activity in partnership with the Staff Accountant Assist with the preparation of personal property tax filings in multiple jurisdictions Support monthly close processes, including variance analysis and identifying unusual trends Present financial insights and recommendations to leadership Assist in developing annual budgets (operating and capital) Prepare audit schedules and documentation for annual financial audits Support tax reporting and compliance for international offices (e.g., Japan, China, Korea, Australia, London, Taiwan) Ensure compliance with tax deduction limitations and identify process improvements Provide analysis and support for tax accounting and returns Participate in ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required Minimum 3 years of experience in public accounting or private industry; professional services or law firm experience preferred Audit experience strongly preferred; familiarity with partnership taxation is a plus Hands-on experience with both cash and accrual accounting in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment Prior use of accounting systems such as Elite or comparable platforms is strongly desired 5+ years of experience analyzing operational financial data Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with BI tools, FRx, Sage FAS, DF Tech, and Adobe Acrobat preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills with keen attention to detail Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision Adaptable and quick to learn new systems or technologies
