Project Manager Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Project Manager in our Major Projects Group in Connecticut. The successful candidate will oversee and direct various commercial mechanical construction projects across Connecticut, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and with appropriate resources. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare bids and job quotes for projects Manage construction projects Execute and manage project contract terms Define complete scope of work Monitor project budgets and labor costs Develop and monitor project schedules with milestones Review and analyze change orders, making recommendations and pricing as needed Analyze plans and construction documents for project requirements and value engineering opportunities Prepare billing documents and coordinate with accounting Review project progress periodically with senior management Maintain communication and collaboration with stakeholders Visit job sites regularly Coordinate communications with general contractors, owners, and project managers Suggest methods and improvements based on project needs Address employee concerns and ensure safety standards Participate in meetings as required Ensure compliance with company policies and safety programs Qualifications: Preferred Education and Experience:
5-7 years of construction-related experience in Plumbing and HVAC. A bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management is preferred. Holding a current CT Plumbing & Piping and/or Heating & Cooling license is also preferred. Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Bluebeam Revu PDF editing. Required Attributes:
COINs experience is preferred. Excellent communication skills, ability to multitask, work independently, manage time effectively, interpret instructions, organize technical data, and collaborate across levels are essential. Physical Demands:
Regular sitting, seeing, talking, hearing, handling objects, walking, reaching, and field site visits. Mobility within the office and to construction sites is required. Work Environment:
