About Longshot Space Technologies Longshot Space Technologies is reinventing access to space with a novel, low-cost approach to orbital launch. We are a fast-growing startup backed by leading investors and supported by U.S. government programs.   We are seeking a versatile Technician who can run test operations with pressurized gases, contribute to part fabrication, and master various mechanical assembly tasks. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background and is comfortable working with pneumatic systems, hand tools, and shop equipment. This role is critical to the development and qualification of hardware for hypersonic launch systems, and the candidate will work closely with Engineers and the test team to ensure safe, repeatable, and high-quality test operations.     Set up and operate pneumatic systems, including regulators, valves, and instrumentation  Support the build, checkout, and troubleshooting of mechanical and fluid systems  Conduct leak checks, functional tests, and safety inspections on test setups  Maintain accurate test records, data logs, and issue reports for engineering review  Participate in test planning meetings and provide feedback for continuous improvement  Support general shop activities, including material prep, organization, and equipment maintenance  Document completed work and contribute to ongoing improvements in fabrication and assembly processes   3+ years of experience in a hands-on technician, machinist, or test operations role  ~ Proficient with mechanical assembly and common shop tools  ~ Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision   ~ Available to work Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm  Experience with CNC and lathe operations   Experience with soldering electrical components  Knowledge of test data acquisition systems and instrumentation setup  Willingness to travel for temporary assignments at test sites      Get hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies in propulsion, materials, and aerospace systems.
