Primary responsibility is to accurately identify patients, collect high quality blood specimens on inpatients, and deliver samples to the laboratory in a timely fashion. Required Qualifications Coursework/Training: Continuing Education Units; 6 units every 2 years. Coursework/Training: Phlebotomy courses from a California State approved School of Phlebotomy (see State Phlebotomy regulations). Upon hire: California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License, or Upon hire: California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License Preferred Qualifications Laboratory, medical office, or hospital experience.
