is seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to fill an opening that provides specialty behavioral health services to Medi-Cal recipients and uninsured, located in Kern County, CA. Requirements of the Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist: Must have an active California Medical License Must be DEA Certified Schedule of the Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist: This is a full-time, part-time, or telepsychiatry-based position, depending on clinic needs. Full-Time (FTE):
Shift: 8-hour day, with afternoon slots prioritized for school collaboration. Activities: 10–12 medication appointments, 3–5 court-ordered evaluations weekly.
Part-Time (PTE):
Shift: 4–6 hours, typically 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. to align with school schedules.
Telepsychiatry:
Weekend Availability: Optional 4-hour Saturday shifts for crisis follow-ups.

deliver trauma-informed care to minors with developmental disorders, mood dysregulation, and school-related behavioral challenges. This role involves forensic evaluations for dependency cases and collaboration with Kern County schools and juvenile justice systems. Job Responsibilities of the Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist: Conduct ADHD diagnostic evaluations using Vanderbilt scales and implement school-based 504/IEP accommodations. Manage psychopharmacology for autism spectrum disorders (ASD), including FDA-approved medications for irritability (e.g., aripiprazole) while coordinating with ABA therapists. Perform court-ordered evaluations for child welfare cases, including assessments of parental competency and trauma-related dissociative symptoms. Supervise Child Psychiatry Fellows in crisis intervention techniques for suicidal ideation and self-harm behaviors.
