Position: QA Engineer II
Location: Sparks, NV
Duration: 6 month contract; chance to extend/convert
Compensation: $38-41/hr W2 + benefits, depending on experience
Position Summary: As a QA Tester on the PLM development team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our product lifecycle management solutions. You will work closely with our engineering, development, and operations teams to develop and execute test plans, identify defects, and drive continuous improvement in our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for PLM systems.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using standard QA tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and design effective testing strategies.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Ensure that all testing activities are conducted in accordance with company standards and best practices.
- Provide regular updates on test progress, defect status, and overall quality metrics.
- Participate in reviews and provide feedback on product requirements, design specifications, and test plans.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in QA methodologies and tools.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a QA Tester, with a strong background in software testing and quality assurance.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with PLM systems, preferably 3DExperience, CATIA, and Solidworks.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, production, and operations processes is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in QA tools and methodologies, such as test management tools, defect tracking systems, and automation frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 3 or more years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
