Fusion Health is seeking a bright, motivated, and outgoing Associate Test Engineer to join our Test Engineering team at our Woodbridge, NJ office location! This candidate will participate in dynamic and challenging projects ensuring the quality, performance and reliability of our software through both automated and manual tests. This role looks like...
The Associate Test Engineer will support our Test Engineering team by executing manual and automated tests, ensuring software quality across our web and mobile platforms. This role involves learning and applying testing methodologies, collaborating with senior engineers, and contributing to the development of automated test suites. The ideal candidate is eager to grow their skills in software testing, automation, and DevOps practices, while making a meaningful impact on Fusion’s HealthTech solutions. Some examples of this role's responsibilities are:
- Execute manual and automated test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing of frontend, backend, and database components.
- Assist in designing and maintaining automated test scripts using tools like Cypress, under the guidance of senior team members.
- Document test results, defects, and test coverage using test management tools such as TestRail.
- Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects.
- Learn and apply SQL queries to validate backend data integrity and support testing efforts.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) to contribute to testing strategies and sprint planning.
- Support continuous testing initiatives by helping integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Stay curious about emerging testing technologies and industry trends, applying new knowledge to improve quality processes.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, preferably with some exposure to automation.
- Basic understanding of testing methodologies (e.g., functional, regression, performance testing).
- Familiarity with testing tools (e.g., Cypress, Postman, or similar) or willingness to learn quickly.
- Basic SQL knowledge for database validation or eagerness to develop this skill.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a passion for learning and growth.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and version control (Git) is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps) or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Knowledge of performance or accessibility testing basics.
- Exposure to healthcare applications or data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, X12) is a plus.
Additional Details:
- This is an on-site (hybrid), full-time, salaried position at our Woodbridge, NJ office location. Our normal hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
