Job Description :
The Engineer will provide expert-level engineering and technical services to the National Weather Service (NWS) Radiofrequency (RF) NWS Radio Spectrum Manager for strategic radio spectrum issues, proposals, and contributions that are applicable to the radio frequency spectrum allocations and assignments. This includes current and future spectrum-dependent systems critical to observations, forecasts, and warnings for the protection of life and property, as well as enhancement of the economy. The role involves addressing International Telecommunication Union (ITU) World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC) agenda items impacting the NWS, including the various Study Groups’ efforts. Requires strong analytical skills in researching, data analysis, and attention to detail. Must have experience with studies and simulations of satellite systems and terrestrial networks of all kinds and across all frequency bands.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an accredited university or suitable experience. Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in the field of RF spectrum analysis, engineering, and management; and the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform radio-frequency spectrum management and highly technical engineering analysis at the subject matter expert level. About Syneren:
