Facility in West Virginia is in need of Med/Surg Telemetry RN Traveler. Must have 2 years of experience in specialty. Must be willing to float to other med/surg units including COVID unit. Job Requirements
BLS Required. WV RN or compact license. Meditech EMR experience. Schedule Information
7-7 schedules are made monthly. Scheduled every other weekend. The schedule is posted for a four week time frame. Blocked scheduling can be accommodated. Unit Specific Information
2 West is med/surg with telemetry and 4 East is med/surg and oncology floor. The patients are varied. Examples: COPD, CHF, Cancer patients, Atrial Fibrillation, et cetera. Additional Details
# of beds: 20 Ratios: 1:5-6 Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Pneumonia, COVID, surgical patients, cardiac Experience or 'Must have' skills: Blood administration, med surg/tele experience. Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Floor has charge nurse and each shift has a house supervisor. Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: Yes- 1 per shift and sometimes 2 on days. RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc): Vents (Home settings, core staff will take, these are rare) Cpap, bipap. Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?: Yes, all 20 beds have tele with central monitoring. RN's read tele strips. Floating Requirements: Other med surg units as needed. Travelers are first to float. Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color scrubs as long as they are clean and neat. Unit/Department specific orientation: 3 days. Will there be opportunities OT? There are currently opportunities for overtime. That can change depending on the staffing.
