Behavioral Health Unit
at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital emphasizes teamwork and effective communication, which are essential for providing specialized care to critically ill patients. Our unit includes an Adult Psych Unit and a Geri Psych Unit, recently enhanced with a multimillion-dollar renovation to improve aesthetics and safety standards. How you'll contribute Our nursing teams are supportive and collaborate with three Psychiatrists and one medical director who is onsite 8 days a month and also available through telehealth. You will make a significant difference by utilizing your specialized care plans and shaping exceptional patient experiences each day. Additional requirements include: One (1) year of experience in a behavioral health setting preferred Current American Heart Association BLS certification or the ability to obtain it within three months of hiring Training in 'Handle with Care' upon hire Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment with the ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to manage stress effectively and take appropriate action Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written Department/Unit Summary Adult psych unit for ages 18 and up - 22 beds, with an additional 8 beds as overflow Geriatric psych unit for ages 65 and over About Us: Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is a 295-bed facility part of Lifepoint Health, which is dedicated to improving community health through acute care, rehabilitation, and behavioral health services across the nation.
