Job Description:
We are currently looking for an RN - Ortho/Neuro nurse to join our team of medical professionals who are committed to quality, compassion, service, and patient safety. The registered nurse will be working in a fast-paced environment and manage patients following the philosophy and policies of our Ortho/Neuro unit.
As an RN - Ortho/Neuro nurse, you will be responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Likewise, you will coordinate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
Our ideal candidate for the Ortho/Neuro position is a registered nurse accountable for the health status and health needs of their patients. You will base this upon the interpretation of health data and preventative health practices in collaboration with the patients and the interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required, and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure safe patient care. Write or obtain initial nursing histories, assesses patients' conditions, and develop individual care plans. Maintain patient documentation. Receive and review preceding shift reports and floor nurse reports. Make complete rounds of all units, and notes the condition of the patients Notify appropriate physician regarding any unusual or unexpected events or problems requiring direct physician consultation. Work with other members of the interdisciplinary patient care team, implements and reinforces patient instructional needs with patient and family offering informational material, and pointing out special areas of concern. Evaluate outcomes of patient care, consult with other specialists as needed, and adjust nursing care processes as necessary to ensure optimal patient care. Provide appropriate, direct patient care utilizing appropriate aseptic techniques. Job Benefits:

Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as an RN in a clinical setting. Active RN license within the State of practice. Current certifications (variable depending on the facility). Knowledge of direct patient care and critical care procedures and techniques, tools, and responses required to ensure optimal patient care. Knowledge of exam indicators, contraindications, and patient preparation. Skill in communicating clearly and concisely with staff involved in critical care, and physicians to ensure the proper care of patients. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
