Specialty: MS/Tele/Peds RN Facility: St Alexius Health Devils Lake Hospital Contract Length: 13 weeks Department: Med/Tele/Peds RN (Medsurg/Peds unit) Patient Ratios: Days: 1:4-5, Nights: 1:5-6 Common diagnoses: Peds to Geriatrics, respiratory dx, infectious dx, GI, ETOH intoxication/withdrawal, liver disease, AKI, DM, DKA, swingbed/rehab, occasional social admit. Job Requirements
Must have MedSurg, Tele, Peds experience 1 year of experience required Wide skill set required due to variety of patient age and diagnoses Schedule Information
Shifts: 7a, 7p, 7p-7a, rotating days and nights Weekend Requirement: 2 out of 6 weekends minimum Holiday Requirement: Yes, will consider RTO if given ahead of time No call, OT opportunity if needed Floating Requirements: May be asked to help in other departments if needed Unit Specific Information
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Insulin, Lasix, Cardizem, Heparin, Aminophylline, MG, K+, Albumin, blood products Scrub Color: Any color scrub color How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? 2 days, minimum Additional Details
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract) Additional RTO will not be approved after submissions They do not have an ICU here but may take ICU acuity patients on this floor
