RN Resident – Med/Surg & Telemetry

Euclid Hospital’s 8 th floor Med/Surg and Telemetry Unit is a 31-bed unit that specializes in advanced telemetry. This unit has an average daily census of 25 and is comprised of 7 private rooms, 10 semi-private rooms and a 4-bed observation room for patients who may be confused, at risk for falls or in need of visual monitoring. Known for their exceptional assessment skills and team mentality, caregivers in this unit provide the best patient-centered and relationship-based care to their adult to geriatric patients with ranging medical-surgical diagnoses.
Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
~ Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).
~ Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
~ Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
~ Document in patients’ medical records.
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
~ Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
~ New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience.
Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).
