Job Description Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technician Profession: Interventional Radiology Technician Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:30 AM - 06:00 AM Hours per Shift: 10.5 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience in interventional radiology License: Valid State Radiography License Certifications: ARRT certification, BLS certification
Must-Have: Candidates must be a graduate of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology. ARRT certification is required. A valid state radiography license is necessary. BLS certification is required.
Description: Neuro, cardiac, or vascular surgery experience is needed. Interventional radiology experience must include diagnostic and interventional procedures. Procedures include angiography, embolization, venous access, and venography. Experience with myelography and abdominal interventions is required. Candidates should be familiar with paracentesis, thoracentesis, and biopsy. TIPS, dialysis access, and fistula work experience is necessary. Experience with Y90/SIRT is preferred. The work environment includes collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team. This team includes nurses, advanced practice providers, attending physicians, residents, and tech assistants. The focus is on providing cutting-edge, patient-centered care. Technologists cover clinical areas such as IR, CT-guided procedures, vascular surgery, and cardiac hybrid procedures. Endovascular neurosurgery and endoscopic interventions are also part of the responsibilities. Support for diagnostic and interventional procedures is essential. The role requires flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
