As a Radiology Technologist, you will work under the supervision of a physician, performing various tasks including patient intake, laboratory testing, and patient follow-ups. You'll also administer medications as needed, and be responsible for conducting and transmitting X-ray diagnostic images. Maintain a clean and safe environment by stocking, sterilizing equipment, and preparing patient rooms. Embrace new technologies and effectively manage patient flow through consistent communication, ensuring comfort and efficiency. Perform venipuncture, laboratory testing, and X-ray procedures as prescribed by medical providers while following strict safety and quality guidelines. Support the mission and values of MedStar by providing exceptional patient care, assisting in patient discharge processes, and ensuring clear communication with patients and their families. Collaborate with team members to enhance patient processing and support medical providers during examinations and care delivery. Qualifications: Associate degree. Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Experience through an externship in a medical or healthcare setting. Preferred: 2 years of experience in a medical office environment. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) Certification. Valid Maryland, Virginia, or DC State License. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. This position offers a competitive hiring range of $29.15 - $51.68.
